Looking to dine out in Burlington this spring and summer? Start with this list of local restaurants, curated by Buzz student journalist, Leanna Puccio.

Burlington Mall – Fogo De Chão

Price Range: $$$

  • If you are craving steak this spring, Fogo De Chão is the place to be. Literally translated to “ground fire” in relation to preparing their cuisine, Fogo De Chao is a great Brazilian steakhouse conveniently located in the Burlington Mall. Known for their Brazilian-style fire roasted meats, Fogo De Chão is a great place to dine for any lunch, dinner, or brunch occasion. If you aren’t the biggest fan of meat, don’t worry! There are different options to enjoy as well, such as the Chilean Sea Bass, which is a perfect light and sweet option for spring! Pair any cut of meat or fish with a Passion Fruit or Strawberry Hibiscus Caipirinha, or if you’re looking for a sweet non-alcoholic option, opt for a fresh Pineapple Mint Lemonade!  

Allergy-Friendly – Burtons Grill & Bar

Price Range: $$-$$$

  • Open all days of the week, Burtons is a great family-friendly spot that prides itself on their allergy-friendly approach. Kids 12 and under are able to choose one main course, 3 sides (especially great for those indecisive kiddos!) and a range of different drinks—all of which include gluten-free and allergen-free options! Burtons also offers vegan and vegetarian options for all ages. For the grown ups, Burtons offers many different cuisines from American classics to steak, Mediterranean, and even seafood. And their beverage list is expansive! Pair the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto with a side salad or seasonal vegetable and the Blueberry Hibiscus cocktail for the perfect bright and springy dish!

Sports Bar – Tavern in the Square

Price Range: $$

  • March Madness is quickly coming to a close, and the Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox are all playing at once—meaning that a sports bar is the ideal option during this time of year, especially for those with sport-obsessed significant others and friends! Offering brunch, lunch, and dinner options, Tavern in the Square is a great place to catch the game at any time of day. Their brunch menu in particular offers many different fun springy drinks, such as a Peach Bellini, an Aperol Spritz, or build-your-own mimosas! Pair any of those with the Blackened Fish Tacos or the  Short Rib Grilled Cheese for the perfect weekend game-day brunch!

Fine Dining – Mooo…

Price Range: $$$$

  • If you are looking for the perfect upscale date night atmosphere, Mooo…Burlington is the place to be Tuesday through Sunday. Located in the heart of Burlington, Mooo is a recently renovated local favorite (formerly L’Andana). Mooo offers the exquisite service, atmosphere, and cuisine that typically can be found in Boston, without all the pesky parking or traffic! The Tomahawk for two is the perfect option for a date night. Pair this with the Yukon gold potatoes, truffled parmesan fries, or lobster mac and cheese, and you will certainly not be disappointed! The wine list is extensive enough to satisfy anyone, from novice to enthusiast. If you are not the wine type, don’t worry! They have many variations of cocktails, beer, and other spirits as well. Be sure to end your night the perfect way… even before leaving the restaurant! Mooo’s freshly baked and to-die-for milk & cookies or Valrhona chocolate cake are a satisfying way to end the meal!

Live Music – Goodnight Johnny’s

Price Range: $$

  • A recent addition in Burlington, Goodnight Johnny’s is the perfect comfort-food spot that Burlington needed! Open for lunch and dinner six days a week (closed on Mondays), Goodnight Johnny’s features live music each weekend, including a live jazz brunch on Sundays! Bring the kids for an early dinner, or come with your friends for an evening out. With a few different music-themed foods such as the “Bohemian Bacon Burger” and the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and memorabilia such as piano key chandeliers, Goodnight Johnny’s will be sure to steal the heart of any music lover. Sip on the “Dancing Queen” during any live music performance, and enjoy this fun new spot for everyone in the family!
