Burlington Sports & Activities for May 2, 2024

DECA goes to the international competition. Also, lacrosse scores and the schedule for volleyball, baseball, and softball this afternoon.

The BHS DECA team was in Anaheim this week for the International Career Development Conference competition. Robbie Geswell, Alex Murray, and Andrew Perl​ came home with medals, and Perl finished as a top 10 finalist. Congrats to these BHS students for their hard work all season. 

DECA, which stands for Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a business skills development program for teens and young adults with the mission to “prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe”

Boys won their lacrosse game last night in Belmont with a score of 18-10. Girls lost a very close 13-12 match against Belmont at BHS.

The boys’ volleyball team will be in Somerville this afternoon for a 4:00 JV game and a 5:30 varsity game. 

The tennis teams take on Winchester at 4:00, with girls hosting at Rahanis Park and boys traveling. 

The varsity boys’ baseball team will take on Watertown at 4:15 at Francis Wyman, and the girls’ varsity  softball team will be traveling to Watertown for a 4:30 game.
