With Two Teams in the Elite Eight, Red Devils Roll Along
Three teams remain in the state tournament, with two playing this afternoon, and one team finishes up for the season.
Congratulations to the boys' track team, who won the team decathlon event hosted at Burlington June 3 and 4. The team has had a strong season, led in part by sophomore Ryan Brooks, who finished 3rd in Decathlon and last month was named co-MVP of the Middlesex Freedom League. Other strong decathlon performances came from Alex Murray (5th) and Charles Desmond (9th).
The boys' lacrosse team will play in the Elite Eight for the first time ever after defeating Dracut—one of only four teams to best the Devils in the regular season—by a score of 9-6. They'll play the winner of the Pembroke-Falmouth game, which will be played this evening.
The boys' volleyball team finished up their season yesterday with a 3-0 loss in Marlboro. Congratulations to them for making it this far!
The #6 boys' tennis team are one of the Elite Eight and will be traveling to Duxbury to play the #3-seeded Dragons. Girls' lacrosse, seeded #9, will also be playing in Duxbury, closely matched with the #8 Dragons in the Round of 16. Best of luck to these two teams in their games!
