Will Strong Performances Last Week Lead to Late Season Momentum?

Red Devils' varsity basketball teams had strong performances on Friday evening, with both boys (52-39) and girls (a 37-36 nailbiter) winning their games against Wilmington. The boys' hockey team won their game against Wilmington on Saturday, as well, by a score of 4-1.

The wrestling team came in 14th this weekend in what coach Paul Shvartsman says is one of the toughest tournaments in New England. Wrestlers came home with a lot to be proud of, including 4th and 5th place individual wins for Shvartsman and Bonnell.

The boys' track team put up a strong performance at D3 relays last week, despite being down to a skeleton crew. Highlights include a first-place performance in Shotput and some state qualifying performances. Girls are celebrating as well, with medals in shuttle dash, 4X400, 4X800, and shotput, as well as state qualifications in the 4X200 and 4X400.

Today, we have basketball versus Woburn, with boys traveling up Winn Street for 4:00 freshman, 5:00 JV, and 7:00 varsity games and girls hosting a 4:15 JV game and a 6:00 varsity game. JV boys' hockey is also on the agenda; they'll be playing at 8:30 at the Ice Palace.
