Weekly Buzz | Lady Devils Are Your State Softball Champs
Plus, new business opens at 3rd Ave
Hello and Happy Monday, Burlington!
Today, town offices and the library are closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
Yesterday, though, our Lady Devils played Tewksbury in the MIAA State Division 2 Softball Championships, bringing home Burlington’s first state softball championship with a 10-9 win. Way to go, teammates and coaches! This was a strong team, a solid season, and a well-deserved victory.
Last week, Plaid Pine Designs had its grand opening on 3rd Ave., as a part of the Project: Pop-Up initiative by Burlington's Economic Development office, Middlesex 3 Coalition, Up Next and 3rd Ave/Nordblom. Learn more about this local business and Project: Pop-Up.
This week, Eversource will be holding their second community conversation regarding a proposed additional substation to be built near Marshall Simonds. The first was held virtually on June 14; if you attended that one, there’s no need to attend this one! Read more information about this project.
