Tennis, Softball Wins Lead into Another Busy Day of Athletics
The tennis teams and the softball teams won their games earlier this week; today is packed with a long list of sports.
The girls' and boys' tennis teams both won their matches against Wakefield yesterday, with boys playing a three-hour match to best the Warriors 3-2. Girls won 4-1.
The rest of the scores from Tuesday are also in: Girls' softball won both their games over Melrose, with JV winning 13-2 and the varsity team besting the Red Hawks 16-1. The girls' lacrosse teams didn't have the same fortune; JV lost 7-5 and varsity lost 11-5.
Today, there are lots of opportunities for the Red Devils to show their stuff ahead of April vacation:
- Boys' tennis at Bedford at 4:00
- Girls' track at Wilmington HS (outdoors) at 4:00
- Softball at home versus Wakefield at 4:15; JV plays on Rotary Field; varsity on Marvin Field
- Baseball at Wakefield; JV and varsity games at 4:15
- Boys' volleyball at Lexington, with JV playing at 4:15 and varsity playing at 5:30
- Boys' lacrosse at Billerica; JV plays at 4:30 and varsity at 6:30
