Teams Shake off Losses, Prepare for Another Matchup

Burlington High School athletic teams kept working hard yesterday despite some disappointments.

The golf team lost to Belmont 44-28. The girls' soccer team lost 2-1 to Melrose, while the boys tied the Red Hawks 0-0. And, the boys' cross country team took a 23-36 loss against Wakefield, despite Burlington's Krish Almeida taking first.

Today the golf team is back at it against Billerica at their shared course, Billerica Country Club, at 3:15. The freshman soccer teams both take on Wakefield at 4:15, with girls hosting at Memorial Elementary and boys traveling up Route 128. And, the volleyball team travels to Wakefield as well, playing 5:00 JV and freshman games and a 6:30 varsity game.
