Swim Team Takes First Win of the Season

The Woburn-Burlington combined swim team took their first win of the season against the "Stonerose" (Stoneham-Melrose) team this week. The final score was 85-48; a huge handful of Burlington swimmers took their best time of the season, with a number of others swimming their first event in competition.

With the volleyball team's 3-1 win against Wakefield, they improved their record to 10-6 on the season and officially qualified for the state tournament. The JV team also won their game, while the freshmen lost. Tonight, after 4:15 freshman and JV games, the varsity team will host Lynn Classical for the Spike Out Cancer event. Also playing today will be the girls' freshman and varsity soccer teams against Boston Latin School at home. And, the football team will be defending their 5-0 record against Melrose in a home game.

Tomorrow is JV football in Melrose  at 10:00, as well as varsity (10:00) and JV (11:30) field hockey in Lexington.
