Lady Devils Shut Out Wakefield, Secure Freedom Division Championship

Burlington's Lady Devils last night played a spectacular game of hockey, shutting out Wakefield with a score of 8-0 and becoming Middlesex League Freedom Champs. Steiner made an impressive four goals, Rabazzi had 3, and Kocur had one.

The boys' team came out strong with scores by Scalia and Robitaille, but the Warriors came from behind to pull out a 3-2 victory. There looks to be just one game left for each varsity team; both teams are well-positioned to earn a high seed in the state tournament.

This afternoon, Burlington hosts Stoneham for one of the last basketball games of the season. JV teams kick things off with games at 4:00, followed by a 5:30 girls' game and a 7:00 boys' game. The Burlington boys are 10-8 to Stoneham's 8-10, and girls are 12-5 against the 6-11 Spartans.
