Lady Devils Hockey Moves to Round of 16 With Decisive Victory
Girls win their hockey game; boys lose; one more round of 32 tomorrow.

The Burlington girls' hockey team hosted the combined team from Beverly/Danvers/Ipswich last night at the Ice Palace and aced their Round of 32 appearance with strong play all around. By the end of the first period, the Lady Devils had scored four goals spread between four players, and by the end a total of five scorers—Cleary, Ciccolini (2), Rabazzi (2), Tremblay (2), Steiner (2)—had put nine goals on the board. Defense was strong, as well, with Brindle at goalie allowing only 2 Beverly goals.
The girls will next play the winner of today's game between #12 Martha's Vineyard and #21 Pembroke; the Round of 16 game will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 2:20 at the Burlington Ice Palace. The girls' basketball team will also be playing that way, going up against #6 Worcester South in an away game.
The boys weren't able to pull out a win against St. John's yesterday and ended their season with a 6-2 loss in the Round of 32.
The final Round of 32 game for Burlington will be tomorrow as the #15 boys' basketball team hosts #18 Chicopee at BHS at 6:00.
