Lady Devils Fall to Melrose in Close B-Ball Battle
The girls' basketball team fell just short of a win against Melrose, while boys managed a decisive victory. The hockey and gymnastics teams are at it tonight.
Lady Devils came up just short last night in a tough game against Melrose. A well-rounded scoring game wasn't quite enough to overcome the Red Hawks; the final score was 47-43, bringing the girls' record to 9-7. Boys did manage to come out on top with a 63-48 victory led by Gray with 20 points and Gerrior with 14. Their record is now 10-5.
Hockey and girls' gymnastics are on the agenda for this afternoon. Lady Devils take the ice in Winthrop at 6:10, while the boys play Watertown at 5:30 at the Ice Palace. And, the gymnasts will be on the road against Reading for a meet that starts at 8:00.
