Girls' Basketball Team Kicks Off State Tourney With a Win
The Lady Devils will continue in the Round of 32 later this week; tournament play continues today for hockey teams

The Lady Devils basketball team will be continuing on in the MIAA Division 2 state tournament after a win in the preliminary round yesterday. The #27-seeded team took on #38 Lowell at home last night and came away with a 45-37 win. Savannah Scali, who hit a milestone 1000 points this season, led the team in scoring with 18 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. King and Sicari also contributed a good number of scores to the win.
The girls will next head to Worcester South, the #6 seed in the division, for their Round of 32 game on Saturday, March 1, at 3:00 PM.
This afternoon, the boys' and girls' hockey teams each have their Round of 32 game. The #5 Lady Devils will host the #28 Beverly Panthers at the Ice Palace here in Burlington, while the #19 boys travel to meet #14 St. John's. Both games are at 5:30.
