Full Day of Athletics Awaits Burlington Following Losses
Tthe combined Woburn/Burlington girls' swim team fell to Winchester 91-74 yesterday. Even with the loss, six swimmers have already qualified for sectionals and/or state championships! The boys' cross country team lost to Arlington yesterday afternoon with a score of 17-46, and freshman boys' soccer fell to Arlington 3-1.
Today is one of the busiest of the week, with soccer, field hockey, and volleyball matchups taking us through dark.
Boys' and girls' junior varsity soccer teams will host Watertown at 4:15 at Marshall Simonds, and the boys' freshman team will play Arlington at Memorial School. Then later in the evening, the varsity teams will travel to Watertown to face them in an away game. Boys play at 6:30, and girls play at 8:00.
The JV and freshman girls' volleyball teams kick off a home match against Arlington at 4:15, and the varsity game will get underway at 5:30, all at BHS.
And, finally, the girls' field hockey teams will host Arlington for a 4:15 varsity game and a 5:30 JV game.
