Devils Bring Home 3rd in JV Track Tourney
Many notable finishes for both boys and girls, including two boys' golds. This afternoon, basketball is on the agenda.
The Middlesex League JV Track Championship was yesterday; Burlington boys took 3rd, while girls came in 7th.
Among the notable finishes for the girls were Dillyn Welch and Ava Ciccolini with gold and bronze in shot put and the team of Matarazzo, Herrera, Bono, and Gordon, who came in 5th in the 4X200 relay.
For the boys, Scott Rigolini came in 6th and Michael Mititchev came in 17th of 100 competitors in the 300 meter dash and Ian Leary, Logan McGee, Russell McCollem, and Mehran Khaleel all came in the top ten in the 600 m run. The team of Khaleel, Leary, Lamoretti, and McGee took gold in the 4X400 relay, and William Preston took first in shot put.
Today on the schedule is Basketball in Stoneham. Junior Varsity games are at 4:30 (boys) and 6:00 (girls), and varsity teams play at 6:00 (boys) and 7:30 (girls).
