Other notes:

  • I messed up and thought yesterday was Friday, so I got the date of the 9th grade parents’ breakfast wrong. Sorry about that. It’s today at 9.
  • I’ll check on sports scores tomorrow, as I’m scheduling this note ahead of time.
  • There are still a few places left for “What’s it Worth?”, the (virtual) appraisal program being offered by the library on October 11 and 25. Register here!
  • Be on the lookout for my interview of John Sanchez, DPW Director, on the podcast. The episode drops tomorrow at noon.
  • I forgot to shout out our MSMS JV football team, who played last night! Our Varsity team lost 17-0 to a strong Melrose, and I’ll share JV scores when I have them.

Sports

  • Swimmers will be in Belmont today at 4!
  • Volleyball is in Wilmington today, with JVA and JVB playing at 4 and Varsity at 5:15.
  • Varsity field hockey plays Beverly at 4:15. I believe the JV game was canceled.
  • Boys’ soccer plays Belmont - JV at 4:15 and Varsity at 6.
  • Girls’ soccer plays in Belmont, with Varsity and JV both playing at 4:15.
  • Varsity boys’ football versus Wakefield at 6. Someone who knows, comment and let us know if our field is ready for play, or when it will be.

Friday Funny

Lol. I never watched this show, but its so funny to reflect later on how shoddy things were back then. I’m sure in the 70s I would have been like, “Woooow they must have been doing really fast!”

Gotta love the differential thrusters. (I just made that up. Sounds believable, though!)

See you tomorrow!
