Championship Hopes Over for Lady Devils
The winter athletics season is over, but spring play is just a few weeks away.
Burlington's girls' hockey team battled it out yesterday against Medfield in the round of 8 playoff game, but didn't make it to the next round game. After a period of play, the Devils were down by 1. Emma Steiner answered that goal with one of her own in the second period, followed by a Medfield goal and another Steiner goal to end the second period. Medfield scored one more in period 3, and Burlington wasn't able to answer it.
This brings the winter season to an end for Burlington sports. Spring informational meetings are underway this week, and regular season play will begin in the last week of March.
