Busy Weekend Brings Mixed Results for Red Devils
Boys' teams dominate a busy weekend of Burlington athletics, while girls' hockey comes back with a decisive win.
Lady Devils hockey went 1-1 on the weekend, falling in a 5-4 heartbreaker to Melrose on Saturday before coming back with an 8-0 shutout against Boston Latin Academy and bringing their record to 5-3. Boys won their game against Melrose on Saturday with a score of 2-0. Their record is now 4-3-1.
The basketball teams had mixed results against Wakefield: Girls lost 40-33, bringing their record to 5-3, while boys improved theirs to 6-2 with a suspenseful 51-50 win.
The boys' swim team took on Winchester on Friday in another exciting meet and ultimately brought home an 88-79 win.
And, finally, the Weymouth Invitational was this weekend, and wrestlers secured a handful of wins, two place finishes, and ended the day 13th out of 23 teams.
Today, we have a clean calendar, but later this week look forward to hockey, basketball, track, gymnastics, and more.
