Burlington Sports and Activities for May 9, 2024
Tennis was postponed yesterday, but lacrosse went forward. Get the latest scores and take a look at this afternoon's schedule.
Our lacrosse teams were able to get their games in yesterday afternoon amid the sprinkles. Varsity boys lost their winning string with a 14-11 loss in Winchester; JV lost their game with a close 8-9 score. Girls won against Winchester at home with a score of 15-4. The boys', and presumably also the girls', tennis game was postponed.
This afternoon brings a busy schedule, starting with a track meet at home against Stoneham at 4:00. The Volleyball teams are at it in Winchester, with freshman and JV games at 4:00 and the JV team playing at 5:15.
The tennis teams are going to give it another try today, with girls hosting Wakefield at 4:00 at Rahanis park and boys traveling to Wakefield for a 4:15 game.
Softball will be happening at 4:15, with JV girls hosting Wakefield at Rotary Field and varsity girls hosting at Marvin Field. And, finally, the JV and varsity baseball teams are scheduled to play in Wakefield, also at 4:15.
