A recap of the last few games of the regular season and a look ahead as teams await seeds for the state championships
Boys took second place this weekend in the MIAA Division 4 Track & Field Championships. The team took four medals in pentathlon, and produced many other strong performances. Girls didn't fare as well and came in 21st.
The baseball team dropped both of their games this weekend, losing 8-6 versus Lynnfield on Friday and 6-5 against Belmont yesterday; they finished the regular season with a 10-10 record. Girls won their last softball game of the season, beating Bishop Fenwick 14-8 and bringing their record to 10-9.
The volleyball teams played hard but lost their final games against Billerica 2-1 (JV) and 3-2 (varsity). The varsity record settled at 8-12.
Volleyball, lacrosse, baseball, and softball teams are awaiting the release of the MIAA Tournament Brackets later in the week. Tennis brackets are out; boys (#6 seed) will be taking on North Attleboro in the Round of 32 after a first round bye, and the girls (#8 seed) will take on Holliston after a bye of their own. Details on the state tournaments to follow!
