Burlington Sports and Activities for May 19, 2024

The baseball team had two big wins this weekend, topping Stoneham on Friday with a score of 10-2 and beating Bedford 9-1 on Saturday. Their record going into the last week of play is 10-7. The boys' volleyball team had a strong performance, too, shutting out Wakefield on Saturday and bringing their varsity record to 9-8.

In tennis, the girls and boys both fell 1-4 to Arlington on Friday. Despite their loss, the boys celebrated a 5-0 win against Melrose on Saturday, clinching the Middlesex League Freedom title.

And, finally, the boys' and girls' lacrosse teams both had big victories, as the boys went 15-3 and the girls went 16-4, clinching a fourth ML Freedom title.

In the last week of regular season play, expect to see all our spring teams working hard to improve their seeds in the playoffs.
