Burlington Sports and Activities for May 17, 2024
Some great wins as we come up on the final week of the season. And a look ahead at the schedule for this afternoon and this weekend.
The clouds parted yesterday afternoon just in time for boys and girls to win their tennis games against Melrose. Boys swept the the Red Hawks 5-0, bringing their record to 10-4 on the season, and girls improved their record to 9-5 with a 3-2 win on Senior Night.
The boys' varsity volleyball team also swept their matches, winning 3-0 against Salem, bringing their record to 7-9.
This afternoon we've got tennis against Arlington. Girls will travel to the Spy Ponders, and the boys will host here at Rahanis Park. the baseball teams travel to Stoneham for 4:15 games And, the lacrosse teams also take on Stoneham with the girls traveling up 128 for 5:30 and 7:00 games and the varsity boys hosting at BHS at 7:00.
We've got a variety of home games on the calendar tomorrow, adding to an already busy day in Burlington.
At 10:00, the boys' volleyball team hosts Wakefield. Then at 11:00, the varsity softball team will play Westfield (though the calendar says it's a home game and also in Westborough), followed by boys' tennis against Melrose at 1:00 at Rahanis and boys' baseball against Bedford at Francis Wyman Field.
