Burlington Sports and Activities for May 15, 2024
Yesterday's games ended with disappointing results for the girls and positive ones for the boys. The girls' softball team lost their game against Winchester 15-3, leaving them with a new record of 9-8, while boys' baseball shut out the Wildcats 17-0, improving their record to 8-7. The tennis teams had a similar split, with girls losing 4-1 and boys winning 4-1 against Wilmington. Girls are still doing well on the season with an 8-5 record, and so are boys, who sit at 9-4.
It's track that kicks off our afternoon of athletics, as boys and girls host Watertown for a 3:30 meet. Volleyball is up next, with our boys traveling to Arlington for a 4:00 varsity game and a 5:30 JV game.
The tennis teams also play Arlington at 4:00, with girls traveling and boys hosting the Spy Ponders at Rahanis Park.
The varsity and JV softball teams are up at 4:15 in Melrose. And, finally, the JV boys' lacrosse team travels to Wilmington for a 4:30 game.
