A Winning Weekend Brings Momentum Before Break
Friday wins bring many Burlington athletic teams into the week before break with winning records.

This weekend was the winningest in a long time for Red Devils Athletics.
Friday saw wins from every single sport on the calendar, including boys' lacrosse, whose varsity team won against Watertown 28-2 and whose JV team beat out the Raiders 10-1. The girls' lacrosse teams won against Watertown, as well, with JV going 12-1 and varsity winning 16-4. Girls went on to win again in a closer game on Sunday, besting Pentucket Regional by a score of 8-7.
The baseball and softball teams took Ws on Friday against Watertown, too: The softball team shut out the Raiders with a whopping 28 runs, the freshman baseball team topped Watertown 10-1, and the varsity baseball team won 5-4.
The girls' tennis scores aren't yet posted, but the boys shut out Watertown 5-0.
Today is a mild one compared to tomorrow, with just tennis and softball on the calendar. The tennis teams are against Melrose today, with the boys hosting the Red Hawks at 4:00 at Rahanis Park and the girls traveling for their 4:15 games. The JV softball team hosts Stoneham at Rotary Field at 4:15.
