Seventh Graders Can Sign Up to Explore Shawsheen
Shawsheen Technical High School will once again be hosting 7th graders from their sending communities for the Project Explore program. This three-week after-school course takes students interested in exploring a vocational education pathway to Shawsheen Tech for six afternoons of experiential learning.
This no-cost program provides transportation for registered students from Marshall Simonds Middle School to Shawsheen and from Shawsheen to home. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and students will experience one trade each afternoon as a sampling of Shawsheen's offerings.
The 2025 Project Explore season expects to feature an exciting range of programs, including Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive, Bakery, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Culinary, Design and Visual Communications, Electrical, Graphic Arts, Health Assisting, Masonry, and Metal Fabrication & Welding. Please note that the programs offered are subject to change, and students will be randomly assigned to different programs.
