Daily Buzz | Precinct 3 Town Meeting Members to Fill Open Seat at 6:30
First night of Town Meeting to follow
Good Morning from the lovely city of Chicago!
I mistakenly stated last week that the Precinct 3 meeting would be at 6:45 before tonight’s Town Meeting; the meeting will actually beat 6:30. Sorry about that! That’s what I get for trying to put things down by memory.
The big item on the agenda today is Town Meeting. Tonight will kick off the multi-session annual budget meeting, where Town Meeting Members will vote on the operating budget for each town department, along with many capital requests. After several hours, usually at a natural stopping point, someone will move to adjourn and then the meeting will pick up where it left off on Wednesday.
If two days isn’t enough (and it probably won’t be), we will keep going on Mondays and Wednesdays until the meeting is done. It often goes to three sessions, but I’ve seen four as well.
Today in Burlington

Sports and Activities
The formerly undefeated Lady Devils Softball team suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss in extra innings on Saturday against Division 2 champs, Westfield.
Boys won their baseball game yesterday, however, with a score of 4-1 against Stoneham.
Today:
Tennis: Boys and Girls versus Stoneham at Rahanis at 4:00.

That’s all I’ve got for you today. I’ll see you tomorrow with (hopefully) a summary of what went down at Town Meeting.
Have a good one!
