Hello, neighbors! I’m writing this early because I’ve got a busy several days ahead of me, so be aware that this information is subject to change. I’ll be sure each Daily Buzz is up to date as it comes.
This week in Burlington
Monday, April 18
- This is an easy one. Town offices are closed today for Patriot’s Day.
Tuesday, April 19
- 4:00 PM - Planning Board Sculpture Park Subcommittee meets to review entries from artists, review a warrant article for May Town Meeting, and discuss the dedication event for Global Warming, the sculpture by Ukranian artist Nikita Zigura that was purchased with donations from the community to support Nikita and his brother in their refuge from Ukraine.
- 5:00 PM - Housing Partnership shares some updates, including about Roger’s Piano and the Coordinator position. They also discuss whether or not to support the Community Preservation Act warrant article.
- 6:30 PM - General Bylaw Review Committee votes on one warrant article for May Town Meeting and assigns subcommittees for review of September articles.
- 7:00 PM - Capital Budget Committee will review items for public safety, DPW, and recreation.
- 7:30 PM - Board of Appeals meets to continue the public hearing regarding the proposed Joss & Main signage, and several more public hearings will be initiated including a variance for home construction and several other signage matters, mostly for restaurants.
Wednesday, April 20
- 5:00 PM - Board of Assessors holds their regular meeting.
- 7:00 PM - Historical Commission (agenda to come)
- 7:00 PM - Ways & Means meets to review and vote on many warrant articles for May Town Meeting.
Thursday, April 21
- 7:00 PM - Planning Board (agenda to come)
Friday, April 22
- Nothing on the agenda yet!
