Daily Buzz | Waste Collection Delayed, No School Thursday
Also, Town Meeting article summaries will be posted shortly
Good Morning, Burlington!
I hope you had a nice weekend, and that you made the most out of your extra day, if you had one. I spent the day alternating between work mode, play mode, and relaxation mode, and it wasn’t a bad way to spend a Monday that felt like a Sunday.
So here we are on a Tuesday that feels like a Monday, and there are just a few things to note as we start out the work week:
- Trash collection is delayed by a day this week because of the holiday.
- There is no school in BPS Thursday, January 19, due to a district-wide professional development day.
- Sunday, January 22, is the start of the Lunar New Year, a holiday that is celebrated throughout East and Southeast Asia. There will be a Lunar New Year Crafts session at 4PM on Thursday at the library for grades PreK-3. Register at the link! Learn more about this prosperous holiday here, and if you know of any local events happening for Lunar New Year, please let me know!
- I’ll be summarizing the Town Meeting Warrant Articles here in the next couple of days. Right now there’s just a structure, but as I get time I’ll start filling in all the different things Town Meeting will be discussing and voting on. I’ll let you know when it’s done!
