Daily Buzz | Shawsheen Tech Superintendent Interviews, Budget Season Gets Underway

Good morning!

Just a few quick notes today:

• Recreation Department signup is tomorrow at 6:00 (  for it not being at 9am. Now, to remember to actually do it…) (Note: A previous version of this post said signups were today. They’re not, I just don’t know my days. Rec Department signups are Thursday, 3/3.)
• The Shawsheen Tech School Committee conducts an interview with the first of its two candidates for Superintendent-Director this evening at 6:15.
• The Transportation Committee meets at 6:30 for a Safe Routes to School presentation
• The Ways and Means Committee meets to kick off the 2023 budget season this evening at 7:00. This is a really great time for residents to get a peek into the process and all the decisions that need to be made in order to stay fiscally solvent.

Town Meeting Subcommittee | Ways and Means

The Ways & Means Committee, also known as the Finance Committee, is a subcommittee of Town Meeting; it has 15 members, each serving a 3-year term. The main function of the committee is to make recommendations to Town Meeting regarding any financial articles, including department budgets*.
