Daily Buzz | Protecting Houses of Worship Postponed

Good Morning, Burlington!

The Buzz slept in a little later than usual today, so just a couple of notes before we head into the weekend:

  • The BPD’s Protecting Houses of Worship training has been canceled due to low enrollment. The training has been rescheduled to Tuesday November 7 at the Burlington Police Department, and the department will be able to use their Virtra V-180 Training Simulator for the De-Escalation portions. The times and topics will remain the same. Seating is now limited to 30 people per session. If we go over we will run the program again very soon - probably in January

  • Coffeehouse at UCC promises to be a super fun time; that’s tomorrow at 7:00 PM.

  • The Friends of the Burlington Public Library book sale is today through Sunday. Sunday is Buy a Bag Day! See below for details.

  • The Community Health Survey is still open!

  • The Pumpkin Patch is also still open!

  • Mark your calendars for a handful of community events next Saturday, October 28:

Friday Funny

Maybe the most relatable Friday Funny yet…

May be an image of text that says 'If I win the lottery, I won't tell anyone... but there will be signs E'

That’s all for today. I hope you have a lovely day and a spectacular weekend!
