Daily Buzz | MBTA Community Forum, Police Forum Tonight
And a belated Happy Solstice to you
Good morning, and happy last day of school!
I realized after writing yesterday’s Buzz that it was actually the solstice yesterday! Here, Neil Degrasse Tyson explains what is happening in the solar system during the solstice. It’s so amazing to think about how it all comes together.
The big thing on the agenda tonight, if I had to choose, would be the MBTA community forum, which is happening at 6pm. This project bills itself as a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to redesign the bus network, and tonight is our opportunity to give feedback on the proposed route changes to the Minuteman & Metro North regions. If you or someone you care about uses the MBTA network, know there are some really big potential changes on the docket, and you’ll want to give your input.
Soccer Champs in Our Midst
Our Burlington GR 9-11 girls’ soccer team will be going to the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions this weekend after taking home the Middlesex League Championship last week!
They’ll kick off what will hopefully be a long weekend of soccer in Lancaster, MA, on Friday morning with two games - one at 9:30 and another at 10:50, followed by another on Saturday at 2:20! The top two teams from each division will advance to Sunday’s matches.
Congratulations and good luck, girls!
