Daily Buzz | I Saw the Sign
Lots of sign questions for the Board of Appeals today. And, what new sculptures might be added to the Sculpture Park?
Good morning!
I hope you enjoyed something from yesterday’s email. I’m still away but will be back at more or less full capacity tomorrow. Here’s what’s happening today in Burlington.
- 4:00 PM - Planning Board Sculpture Park Subcommittee meets to review entries from artists, review a warrant article for May Town Meeting, and to discuss the dedication event for Global Warming, the sculpture by Ukranian artist Nikita Zigura that was purchased with donations from the community to support Nikita and his brother in their refuge from Ukraine. (Join via Webex)
- 5:00 PM - Housing Partnership shares some updates, including about Roger’s Piano and the Coordinator position. They also discuss whether or not to support the Community Preservation Act warrant article. (Join via Webex)
- 6:30 PM - General Bylaw Review Committee votes on one warrant article for May Town Meeting and assigns subcommittees for review of September articles. (Join via Zoom)
- 7:00 PM - Capital Budget Committee will review items for public safety, DPW, and recreation.
- 7:30 PM - Board of Appeals meets to continue the public hearing regarding the proposed Joss & Main signage, and several more public hearings will be initiated including a variance for home construction and several other signage matters, mostly for restaurants.
Have a great day!
