Daily Buzz | Conserve Water as Mill Pond PFAS Filters Undergo Work

Good Morning, Burlington!

Have you been wondering when the PFAS filters at Mill Pond will be online? The answer is, pretty soon! Yesterday evening, the Mill Pond water treatment plant was taken offline for work required to prepare the filters for use. The DPW asks that community members refrain from using sprinklers and otherwise conserve water in any way possible for 24 hours so this work can be completed without disruption to service.

For more information about the DPW’s work, the filters, and the MWRA connection which supplements the water we get from Mill Pond, listen to my interview with John Sanchez, former Director of Public Works, recorded just before he retired at the end of last year.
