Dear Editor,
We are writing to endorse JACK KELLY for Planning Board.
Jackās dedication to Burlingtonās success is unparalleled. He has previously served as a Town Meeting Member, a member of the Ways and Means Committee, and as a Planning Board member.
As a planning board member, Jack is hard-working and meticulously prepared. His depth and breadth of knowledge is valued by other members, staff and applicants. Jackās legal background combined with his extensive knowledge of zoning bylaws and land use regulations is indispensable. While previously serving on the Planning Board, Jack was instrumental in crafting the highly successful 3rd Avenue and The District planned development districts, as well as the innovation district zoning that was so critical to Burlington's success at retaining and growing its vibrant business sector.
Jack understands the delicate balance between protecting Burlingtonās close-knit neighborhoods while supporting and promoting its vigorous business sector. The dynamics of our business community are changing. The Town needs experienced planning professionals who are ready to respond to these challenges and help Burlington stay vibrant and relevant.
This spring, the Planning Board will lose two long-term planning board members and welcome two new ones. Jack is the experienced candidate who can seamlessly step into the role and be productive on day one.
For these reasons, we urge Buzz readers to cast a vote for JACK KELLY for Planning Board and for a bright future for Burlington.
