Weekly Buzz | St. Mark’s Pumpkin Patch Open for the Month of October

Hello, Burlington!

Today is Friends Book Donation Day at the library; if you have some books you’d like to donate, stop on by between 1:30 and 3:30.

Also today, spend a couple of hours with the Democratic Town Committees of Burlington and Bedford at the First Parish in Bedford, 75 Great Road. Learn what is going on at the state level and meet newly elected Democratic State Committee Chair, Steve Kerrigan, along with Ken Gordon, Mike Barrett, Mara Dolan, and Diana DiZoglio.

Finally, born of popular demand, the Library’s First Thursday Tabletop Board Game Group for Adults makes its debut this week! If you enjoy playing tabletop games with other grownups (perhaps without children nosing their way in as mine do!), this is the place for you!

St. Mark’s Pumpkin Patch Open for the Month of October

If you drove down Bedford Street or Terrace Hall yesterday, you might have noticed a dozen or two volunteers and many hundreds of pumpkins moving about at St. Mark’s Church. That’s because the annual Pumpkin Patch is officially open.

Every day in October, from 11 to 6, you can stop by and pick your fill of pumpkins for all your autumn pumpkin needs. All proceeds from this, the tenth year of the Pumpkin Patch, go toward People Helping People, Burlington’s Food Pantry.

If you decide to carve or paint your pumpkins, snap a photo for the Buzz and send it to hello@burlington.buzz. Your photo might be featured in a future issue!
