Weekly Buzz | Memorial Day Events Start Off the Week

Good morning, you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend and making space to mark Memorial Day in whatever way works for you.

I know a lot of us are still having a tough time, and it’s not going to stop anytime soon - nor should it. This is me acknowledging that, and reminding you that I’ll still be working on my own time to try and make things better, though with the exception of publishing this statement by the Interfaith Clergy, I won’t be talking much about it here. If you ever want to know what’s going on in the mess that my brain makes when it figures stuff out, you can read my author newsletter here.

Alright, on with the week.

This Week in Burlington

The week kicks off with some Memorial Day events, and then there are some committees meeting later in the week that we haven’t seen much of here.

Also, it’s going to be June. What? How did that happen?

Monday, May 30

  • Memorial Day - Town Offices Closed
  • 8:00 AM - Flag Raising at the Veterans’ area of the Common
  • 10:00 AM - Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans’ Section of Chestnut Hill Cemetery

Tuesday, May 31

Wednesday, June 1

Thursday, June 2

Friday, June 3-Sunday, June 5

I don’t see anything on the calendar yet, and I am digging back through my brain’s cobwebs and don’t see anything that’s been sent to me. (Though, to be fair, I haven’t yet gotten to all the press releases I’ve been sent this week.)

If you have an event you’d like me to publicize, you can always email me at hello@burlington.buzz.

I’m going to call it a day now. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and we’ll catch up tomorrow.
