Weekly Buzz | Library Events for the Holiday Week
LEGO Hexbug races, escape rooms, and more
Good Morning, Burlington!
I had such a nice time celebrating Christmas with my family yesterday. I hope your last night of Hanukkah, or your Christmas, if you celebrated, was lovely and full of love and peace. And, if you’re celebrating Kwanzaa from today through next Monday, I hope you find meaning and purpose in this year’s theme. And, if you’re not celebrating anything, I hope you enjoy a peaceful close to 2022 and a hopeful beginning to 2023.
If you’re having a hard time during the holidays—for financial reasons, or because it’s cold, dark, and winter, or because you’re longing for someone or someones who are no longer with you, or for reasons of your own, please know the Buzz and our community are here with you and here for you, this season and always.
It’s a slow week for most anything other than retail returns, and so this Weekly will be a little different from usual. So far, there is nothing on the town agenda this week. This might change, but I did hear plenty of the Boards and Committees before this week state that they wouldn’t be meeting again until the new year. So I wouldn’t expect anything.
As such, we’ll be devoting this week’s Buzz to the Burlington Public Library. The library has a slow week ahead, too, but there are some items on the agenda in which you and/or your kids might be interested. And, just in general, this place offers SO MUCH amazing programming all year round. If you’re not a regular BPL patron, it’s time to change that!

Sports and Activities
Sports have not been suspended this week, and I’ll continue bringing you schedules and scores as I receive them. The only game on the calendar for today is the JV Boys’ Hockey Game at Billerica at 9:10 this morning.
That’s all for me, but I’ll be back tomorrow and every day this week with a short note for you.
Until then,
Nicci
