- 1:00-5:00 PM - Badges & Bases softball game at the Recreation Department field between Fire and Police Departments to raise money for childhood abuse awareness.

I do one to mention one more thing - last week at the Select Board meeting, DPW Director John Sanchez outlined four different options for the future of trash collection in Burlington. There will be a public hearing regarding changes to our trash collection program at next Monday’s (9/26) Select Board meeting.
Sports This Week
There’s a busy week up ahead with our Volleyball, Soccer, Field Hockey, Golf, and Football teams playing from Wayland to Winchester to Melrose. The week kicks off on the road tomorrow with Field Hockey in Stoneham and Volleyball in Wayland.
Last Friday’s Scores
Friday’s scores are in, with our golfers just losing to Lexington by a score of 38-34. Our JV Boys’ soccer team fell to Stoneham 2-1, while the JV girls shut out Stoneham 2-0. Our Freshman and JV girls beat Stoneham in volleyball with two 2-0 games, and Varsity won 3-0.
