Two Opportunities to Support Burlington's Food Pantry This Season
With the winter holidays approaching, People Helping People, the organization that runs Burlington's Food Pantry, has several opportunities for residents to be involved in supporting the community.
On Saturday, November 9, the Presents of Hope Fundraiser will bring together community members for a fun afternoon to help raise money to benefit People Helping People's Wish Tree Program. There will be gift baskets, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 raffle, as well as delicious appetizers, a cash bar and special guest: Joe Murray from 98.5 The Sports Hub. Join People Helping People to help make a child's Christmas special.
Additionally, the United Church of Christ, Congregational, will be hosting a Thanksgiving food drive and Thanksgiving meal distribution the weekend before Thanksgiving. On Saturday, November 23rd 2024, they will hold a drive-through food drive from 10:00am to 1:00pm. They will be accepting non-perishable Thanksgiving foods as well as any other canned and boxed goods for the People Helping People food pantry. More information on needed items can be found at People Helping People's website, or by calling the food pantry at 781-270-6625.
The Burlington community is always generous, and there will continue to be opportunities to support those in our community in need this holiday season.
