Greco hopes to share authentic Greek flavors with guests as the new Greek restaurant in Burlington.

The Burlington Mall will soon be home to the only exclusively Greek restaurant in Burlington, and co-owner Demetri Tsolakis is hoping his dining spot, Greco, will become your second home.

There’s no shortage of restaurants in Burlington, but Tsolakis felt something was missing. “We’re happy to fill that void,” he says, with truly authentic Greek street food inspired by his family’s home country. The menu features staples such as gyros, customizable salads and pitas, and more, and offers vegan and gluten-free options so anyone can enjoy the array of flavors featured in Greek cuisine.

Opening on Monday, July 1, the chain’s first suburban location boasts a wide open dining area with ample space for families, large groups, or just big shoppers. “This is a ray of sunshine, a piece of Greece,” says Tsolakis, and he’s excited to share it with diners who live in, work in, or visit Burlington.

Greco, a restaurant of Xenia Greek Hospitality, got started in 2017 in Boston’s Back Bay and has since built up four locations in Boston and one in Washington, D.C. Xenia, according to the group’s website, is the Greek custom of providing hospitality to strangers, and that’s just what Tsolakis hopes to do with Greco: “Welcoming strangers into our home and turning them out as friends.”

The Burlington location is located near Common Craft and Fogo do Chão and has entrances from both inside the mall and outside. Greco will be offering $1 chicken or pork gyros from 11:00-2:00 on Monday, July 1, to celebrate their grand opening and express their appreciation to Burlington for welcoming them into the community.
