Dozens of cultures, languages, and countries of origin are represented in Burlington, and two local Girl Scouts set out last year to connect them all at the first Burlington Culture Night.

Girl Scouts, Meghna and Gwyneth, conceptualized the Culture Fest while working toward their Silver Award. They planned the event, reached out to potential participants and sponsors, and collaborated with the Recreation Department to put the event on. Even when things didn't line up and they needed to adjust their plans, they didn't give up, and the inaugural Culture Fest, held at Simonds Park last July, had over 300 attendees and six countries and cultures represented.

This year, Burlington Culture Night returns to Simonds Park on Monday, June 10, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Stop by and learn about many of the traditions represented in Burlington!
