Daily Buzz | Volunteer at Pride Day
Plus, the rules committee meets to reflect on May Town Meeting
Good morning!
I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Buzz. I’m glad I waited until I had time to compile what I had. Several of you reached out yesterday with more organizations around town that help those in need, and I’ve updated the post. Keep reaching out, and I’ll be sure to keep that note up to date.
Also, I wanted to let you know our second annual Pride celebration is coming up here in just a few weeks, on June 26. The committee is looking for volunteers, so if you are interested in contributing but haven’t yet signed up, you can do so here.
Today in Burlington
Just a few meetings today.
- 5:30 PM - Zoning Bylaw Review Committee Sign Subcommittee continues discussing sign things. (Join via Zoom)
- 6:00 PM - Shawsheen Budget Subcommittee meets for an executive session of contract negotiations with non-union personnel.
- 7:00 PM - Rules Committee meets to discuss how May Town Meeting went, how to improve TM for the future, and some suggested changes to TM. This meeting doesn’t appear to have remote access, but of course I’m very interested to hear the reflections here! I might have to wait until the minutes come out, unless someone who is attending wants to feed me some notes. (Hint-hint!)
That’s it from me today. It’s still gorgeous outside as I’m writing this Sunday early afternoon, and I’m going to go enjoy it.
Have a wonderful week, Burlington!
