Usually, short weeks feel the longest. This one has actually flown by for me. I hope the same happened for you!

The BHS Volleyball Spike Out Cancer fundraiser is today! JV and Freshmen play starting at 4:15, and then the main event will be the Varsity game at 5:30. The girls will be playing Bedford while raising money for the American Cancer Society. Come out and show your support if you can!

Today in Burlington

Nothing is on the town calendar today, but don’t forget to make plans to attend Trucktober from 11-2 tomorrow. There will be food trucks, games, and live music. Hope to see you there!

• I neglected to mention yesterday that our JV Junior Devils football team out of MSMS was scheduled to play Woburn last night. Nor did I mention the Varsity Junior Devils’ 23-0 win against Belmont. Way to go, kids!
• Our swimmers fell to the combined Arlington-Watertown team on Wednesday, 98-65.
• Volleyball: JVB lost in Belmont 0-2 while JVA and Varsity took home 2-0 and 3-0 wins, respectively.
• In Varsity Soccer, the girls lost to Stoneham 4-2 and the boys lost 2-1.

Today’s Schedule

• Volleyball Spike Out Cancer Fundraiser, at home against Bedford. JVA/B at 4:15; Varsity at 5:30.
• Our field hockey teams play Watertown at home today, with Varsity playing at 4 and JV at 5:30.
• Freshman boys play soccer against Watertown at 4:15.
• Varsity football game against Wilmington at 6:00, and I believe we’ll be playing on our newly resurfaced field!
