Good morning!

This feels like a bonus day (and not in a good way) in a week that was two weeks long. I’m glad it’s Friday, but the weekend couldn’t come soon enough!

In case anyone was wondering, Back to School Night at ALL schools except MSMS was yesterday. It’s so interesting how different schools advertise differently. But also interesting that the (+4 more) button on the district Calendar is there for all (including me) to click.   I hope all you parents got a chance to connect with your kids’ teachers!

Also - thanks for being here, friends. Don’t forget to invite everyone you know.

• 8:00 AM - Tennis tournament in Billerica to benefit Boston Children’s
• 10:00 AM-1:00 PM - Fall Fitness Day on the Common

Sunday

• 1:00 PM-5:00 PM - Badges & Bases Fundraiser: Burlington Fire and Police departments play each other in a game of softball to benefit The Mama Bear Effect, a child abuse prevention organization headquartered in Burlington
• 3:00 PM-6:30 PM - Diwali celebration on the Common

Today’s Schedule

We’ve got a full Friday sports schedule today:

• Field Hockey is on the road in Melrose, with Varsity playing at 4:00 and JV at 5:15.
• Our Freshman girls go against Melrose in soccer at home at 4:15. JV and Varsity are at Melrose, playing at 6:15 and 8:00, respectively.
• Boys soccer is also on the road in Melrose, with Freshman and JV playing at 4:15 and Varsity playing at 6:00.
• Football tonight is at Cambridge Rindge & Latin at 7:00.

Friday Funny

Okay, this one’s not as funny as it is 100% relatable. As someone who gives myself exactly enough time in the morning to get where I’m going, getting into the car and seeing the gas gauge approaching E is pretty much the worst.
