There are a number of events and activities this weekend, especially around autumn crafting. Check the calendar below to find something for you and your family.
And don’t forget about Trucktober tomorrow from 11:00-2:00 on the Common and Miles for Mental Health on Sunday at 10:00 at the middle school track (free tickets are sold out, but you can join the waitlist at the link!). I hope to see you at both free, family-friendly events!
Sculpture Park to Welcome Back Red Trouser Show
The Sculpture Park Committee is excited to offer a multi-modal entertainment experience for their 2023 autumn event. Combining activities from the last two years, the Park is welcoming back the very popular Red Trouser Show performers AND providing free pumpkin painting for kids and adults to participate in.
The Red Trouser Show is a performance group based out of New Hampshire that wows audiences of all ages with their acrobatic feats. In fact, their appearance at the Sculpture Park in November of 2021 was one of the most popular events in the Park’s three-year history. Sports and Activities
Our field hockey team fell to Stoneham by a score of 2-0 yesterday.
Today we have the full complement of Friday sports on the agenda:
- Red Devils host Billerica for a game of golf at the Country Club of Billerica at 3:30.
- Volleyball hosts Stoneham for their Spike Out Cancer event, beginning with freshman and JV games at 4:00 and concluding with the Varsity game at 5:00. Be sure to come and support the team; you can purchase raffle tickets using this form or make a direct donation to the American Cancer Society.
- Our soccer teams also hosts Stoneham at BHS for Kick Hunger, an event to support Burlington’s food pantry, People Helping People. Varsity boys play at 5:30; girls play at 7:30.
- JV Boys’ soccer travels to Stoneham this afternoon, while JV girls host Stoneham at MSMS; both games are at 4:15.
- Our football team will be on the road tonight taking on Melrose; kickoff is at 7:00. The JV team will host Melrose here at 9:00 tomorrow morning.
