Also, Shawsheen Tech appoints a new member of its leadership team
Good Morning, and a Happy Monday to you! I’m hoping this one isn’t quite as foggy as the last. Figuratively speaking, that is.
The second I sent yesterday’s Buzz, I realized I’d forgotten to include our fundraising banner, updated for the week. Rather than send a correction, I wanted to highlight it today and say - YOU ARE ALL ROCK STARS! As of today, we have $75 to donate to People Helping People, and the month isn’t even half over. I’d love to maximize our donation, so if you’re still on the fence, now’s your chance!
The People Helping People Thanksgiving drive is this Saturday at United Church of Christ. Here’s a list of the items they’re looking for:
Mayonnaise
Pasta
Cereal, Oatmeal
Chicken Broth
Cooking Oil
Jelly
Sugar, Flour
Coffee, Tea, Cocoa
Liquid Dish Soap
Toiletries (shampoo, hand soap, deodorant)
My family will be there helping out - hope to see you there!

The highlight of my day will probably be grabbing that winter catalog and going at it with a pen, finding ways to keep my kids occupied during the Dark Day this winter.

I’ll update you when the finalized results are ready, but I don’t expect the numbers to change the overall outcome for Burlington or the state.
- 3:00 PM - Winter Recreation Catalog available on the Recreation Department Website.
- 5:30 PM - Board of Assessors holds their regular meeting.
- 6:00 PM - Recreation Commission will talk about their 2024 capital plan.
