Daily Buzz | One More Day to Support the Buzz and the Food Pantry
And one final way to support
Good Morning, Burlington!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our first membership drive in collaboration with People Helping People. So far we have smashed our goal of $100, and there are still a few hours to go! Today is the last day to have 10% of your annual Hive membership go toward the food pantry, so consider this your last call.
I really appreciate your support. People Helping People is such an important organization, and the money we’ve collected will help so many local people. And your annual membership helps me keep the Buzz up and running all year long.
One more piece of exciting news: A reader reached out to me the other day and offered to match the Buzz’s contribution if we made it to $100! I hadn’t even had time to tell you that, and the $100 was met and exceeded! So, thank you not only to those of you who have used your annual membership to support PHP, but to those of you who have been inspired by this campaign to contribute on your own. If you’d like to make a donation on your own, just click here.

Meetings and Events
Another light day here:
- 4:00 PM - Board of Assessors will accept the FY23 tax rate and hold their regular meeting to sign motor vehicle tax abatements and discuss real estate exemptions.
- 6:00 PM - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee will meet to discuss their presentation this past Monday to the Select Board and more. (Join online)
Tomorrow, we’ve got two things I don’t want you to miss.
No school
Planning Board - this was added to the calendar, and during this meeting the Select Board is scheduled to attend to discuss Town Center signage guidelines. The Select Board has been talking about installing an electronic sign at the corner of the common where a banner currently hangs to advertise different upcoming events. So we’ll see what input the Planning Board has regarding this.
I also hear there will be a special guest or two at this meeting…more about that later.
That’s all for today. Thanks once again for all your support this month and always.
See you tomorrow.
