Good Morning, Burlington!
Great news: Burlington has made it to the semifinals in the Minute Madness tourney! There are only four teams left standing: Burlington, Tewksbury, Wilmington, and reigning champs, Georgetown.
We’re in a tough battle this week, going head-to-head against Georgetown. Be sure to log your reading/listening minutes so we can come out on top!
Speaking of the library, they’ll be holding a food drive on Election Day to benefit People Helping People, our local food pantry. From 10-2 on April 1, volunteers will be collecting items to help Burlington families in need. Next time you’re out food shopping, pick up a little extra and bring it with you to the library on Election Day.
Items needed:
- Coffee, Tea, Cocoa
- Sugar, Flour
- Cooking oil
- Condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup)
- Jelly
- Kids snack foods (fruit & applesauce cups, individually wrapped chips, granola bars)
- Toddler snacks (puree pouches, cereal puffs)
- Pancake Syrup
- Oatmeal packets
- Toilet Paper
- Tissues
- Baby Wipes

- 6:30 PM - Last Word Toastmasters Club at the library
- 6:30 PM - Conservation Commission will discuss a proposed project to dig wells at Blue Sky Drive and that request from Northeastern for a sign variance. (Town hall and online)
Sports and Activities
Sports teams across Burlington have been winding up for the spring season. Baseball, softball, track, volleyball, Lacrosse, and probably more I’m forgetting, have all begun tryouts and/or practice. Scrimmages start tomorrow!
