Apologies for the late Buzz this morning (if it is, indeed, still morning when you get this). Thanks to those Hive members who came out to this morning’s first ever Coffee Hour! We had a great time discussing some local issues and getting to know each other better. If you’re a Hive member who missed it, don’t worry—there will be more! Enjoy the Sounds of the Season at Wayside This Weekend

This weekend, the acapella group Mistle-Tones will grace shoppers with the sounds of the season while a professional ice carver shows their skill. Come shop for the holidays at Wayside Shopping Center on Saturday, December 16, between 1:00 and 3:00, and enjoy a Winter Wonderland!

• 10:30 AM-12:00 PM - Storytime with Mrs. Claus -  A festive and fun event where kids ages 4+ listen to stories by Mrs. Claus and have a treat! They will get to design their own mug for hot cocoa, too! (Made In Burlington; Tickets)
• 1:00-3:00 PM - Winter Wonderland - Mistle-Tones acapella group will serenade you as you shop for the holidays. Watch as ice gets carved on the greenway! (Wayside)

Sunday, December 17

• 2:00-4:00 PM - BPS - Muslim Parents Group - Get together with fellow parents and discuss any concerns or other topics you might like. (Library)

Sports and Activities

The boys’ track & field team had a strong opening showing, beating out Stoneham 14-86. Girls fell just short with a score of 57-43. The boys’ swim team lost to Belmont yesterday, as well.

Basketball is on the agenda today, as all teams take on Watertown. Boys host, with freshmen playing at 4:15, JV at 5:00, and varsity at 7:00. Girls travel with games at 5:30 and 6:30.

Tomorrow our wrestlers travel up to Hudson Falls, NY, this weekend for the Thomas Chickanis Memorial Tournament. We’ve also got girls’ and boys’ varsity hockey at Lexington at 12:20 and 7:15, respectively.

Sunday, JV boys host Melrose for a hockey game at the Ice Palace at 4:30.
