Don’t forget to get out to the Chateau today to have yummy food and support the Friends of the Burlington Public Library (see information below). The Friends raise money and support public programs for our wonderful public library.
Speaking of the library, there is a free citizenship preparation course beginning soon in collaboration with the Woburn Public Library and St. Mark Community Education. This 10-week course will take place on Saturday mornings, starting on September 16. Learn more about the requirement, and register, here.

Municipal Meetings and Community Events
- Friends of the Library Chateau Fundraiser: Please visit The Chateau Restaurant on August 15 for lunch, dinner, or takeout. Just ask your server to flag your check for the Friends’ Fundraiser or leave the note “FUNDRAISER Friends of BPL” on your online order to participate, and a portion of your ticket will go toward our wonderful public library.
- 2:00 PM - Planning Board - 186 Middlesex TPK Site Visit to discuss proposed parking changes at Life Time. (Life Time Fitness)
- 6:00 PM - Free Cornhole Tournament at 3rd Ave
- 6:30 PM - General Bylaw Review Committee will review and approve the articles for September’s Town Meeting and continue working on articles for January. (Virtual)
- 6:30 PM - Glow Jars (Library event; Register)
- 7:00 PM - Board of Appeals will continue discussing the requested sign variance for The Paper Store on Middlesex Turnpike and will open new public hearings for setback variances for residential construction projects. (Public Hearings begin at 7:30 in Town Hall Main Hearing Room)
