Come Watch the Marching Band Ahead of State Competition
The Burlington High School Marching Band will be holding a send-off show this Saturday at BHS as they prepare to compete in the New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) Championships the next day. The Band has been working hard and attending competitions all season to bring them to this point, and this is the community’s opportunity to show our support!
From Marching Band Director, Faydeen Sateriale:
The band will be performing music from our 2023 program entitled “Time After Time,” featuring 3 musical selections:
- Chiming of the Hour by Luke McMillan
- Time After Time by Cindy Lauper
- Clocks by Coldplay
These modern songs will work together to tell a story of struggle, and ultimately revolution, through the industrial era with a true Victorian steampunk vibe.
Come out and support our marching band at Varsity Field this Saturday with an open rehearsal at 3:30 and the send-off show at 4:00. In case of inclement weather, the show will be held in the BHS auditorium.
The state competition will be held the next day at Lawrence’s Veterans Memorial Stadium, and our band is set to play at 1:00.

The Shawsheen volleyball team also went 3-2, beating out Pembroke. They’ll next play either Tewksbury or Wayland.
The end of the field hockey season came earlier than our Lady Devils had hoped last night, when they were defeated 7-0 in Worcester.
